Learn. Design. Refine.
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Amy, and I am an experienced designer, researcher and educator who creates impactful learning solutions. After 10+ years as a humanities scholar and college educator, I shifted into edtech, where I have developed skills to drive eLearning outcomes.
“Learn. Design. Refine.” is a reference to the iterative process I follow in design and life. This process took me first to midwestern universities, where I sought answers to the question: how can the many religions of the modern world coexist nonviolently? With this question in mind, I traveled to Jaipur, India as a Fulbright Fellow, conducting research on devotional traditions in a rapidly modernizing and diverse city. After this, I shifted to the education technology company Guild, where I supported adult learners pursuing their own goals in online higher education. These experiences have given me a great appreciation for the varieties of ways to be human and thrive. Always learning, always growing, I value curiosity, quality, and humane technology.
I bring design thinking and tools, research skills, knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Adobe tools, Figma, HTML/CSS and the ability to learn new technologies.

Project: Microlearning Videos on Business Systems Processes
Summary: I created this microlearning video as part of a series on Business Systems processes for coaches at Guild. As a Business Systems Subject Matter Expert, I developed deep knowledge of lesser-known Salesforce processes. Knowing how to close out an opportunity (or “oppy”) enabled coaches to remove potential hurdles for Guild learners who were switching educational programs.
Project: Video Lecture on Approaches to Different Religions
Summary: This is the final video lecture for “REL 100: Religions of the World.” After a semester of students learning about the diversity of religious practice and thought, this video introduced students to three ways of approaching the diversity of religions in the world. The goal was to empower students to take their knowledge gained in the course and reflect on how it will inform their perspectives moving forward.
